Opal dress

Hey yall!

Do you need another dress pattern? Okay dont answer that questions. How about do you WANT to add on to your collection? Because this one is a keeper! You may want to add this to your collection!

The Opal dress is an addition to the Gemstone Collection from Eunoia Design Pattern Group. This is a elegant dress that has two fit options: fitted or relaxed. The fitted option is the one I loved the most! I really liked how it was fitted at the bust and waist and flared out. This was another one of those testing experiences where every tester looked incredible!

Options for the Opal dress:

  • Fitted or Relaxed fit
  • Nursing friendly option
  • 3 Lengths: knee, mini, maxi
  • Several necklines

This pattern can be made with all sorts of knit fabrics but I choose this burgundy double brushed polyester from one of my go to spots; you guessed it… Surge! I bought about 4 yards and had enough to use the leftover for a head wrap.

I love taking photos as the sun sets. Its the perfect glow right in the face. My oldest son Alistair has been doing an amazing job at snapping photos for me over the past few months! We went to a local park to take these photos and may have left a little later than we should. Alistair was able to take 5 minutes of sun glowing photos before it quickly set. I am so glad these turned out so well despite the rush!

My size is a 16* in the bust and waist graded to a 20* in the hips.

Your dress looks good. But looking at the size chart it looks like it is sized for an A cup, despite saying it is curvy fit. The 1″ difference between full and high bust is no good for someone like me with 6″-7″ difference 😥

I forget about FBA. 🥴 I only had to do that once and that was a while ago. I’m sorry that this pattern doesn’t fit your needs! I have had a few patterns in the past where I’ve had to make too many adjustments
