Hey beautiful people!

I’m back and with a set of patterns that are perfect for active and lounging for this upcoming warmer weather!(If you already have warm weather where you are at, I just want you to know that I am highly jealous of you)

Whats up Lulu & Finley?

This set from Made for Mermaids is a workout top and flared leggings combo that have so many options available and so fun to sew up! I have been needing some workout outfits to add to my closet and this helped me to get to it sooner. Deadlines in testing gives me enough pressure to get a project done. Without a deadline, it will be months before I put the plan into action.

Heres some quick deets on the Lulu tank!

Goes up to 60″ full bust
Shelf/Sports bra included
Several lengths (Sports bra, longline band, longline hem, crop, top)

Lets get into the Finley pants!

Goes up to 64″ hips
Several inseams included! (2.5″, 4″, 6″, 8″ inch shorts, and 30″ & 32″ flared)
Waistband options: Crossover, Fold over, & Contour Band
Patch or slat pockets

This set together really helps to create many outfits fit for everyday like, workouts, lounging, even date night! I have made several sets so far and three more than I plan to make. My only issue is I need more athletic knit on my hands from Olga, Boho, Mily Mae, or Surge.

The first Lulu & Finley set is crop length with 32″ inseam pants and slat pockets. This athletic fabric is from Boho Fabrics. This neon orange was love at first sight! I want more to make some shorts.

My second set is fabric from Amelia Lane Designs that is newly released. This is DBP and so soft on the skin! My only critique is my own mistake as I shouldn’t have made these flares with this DBP. When I first started sewing years ago I realized that DBP as leggings were not my jam due to my high sitting booty. DBP leggings would always fall down in the back despite adjustments. This was the case here and the length was not as long as I would like because of lack of good vertical stretch. I would definitely buy this fabric again and make a dress or romper though!

Ohhhh I forgot to add, theres also a youth Lulu and Finley!

Amethyst has a shorts bra and flares for her neon set and crop with flares for the pink and black set.

Ran short of time or else Amethyst and I would have had a shorts set to photograph in time. I was addicted to sewing these sets and wanted to keep going. But I had to snap out of it and tend to other things. I plan on sewing up a set for myself soon so if you aren’t already, lets be friends on my Instagram to see photos!

And you know we cannot forget bundle photos right?

These patterns are incredible and quick sews. Given that I have three more sets that I want to cut, I’d say its obvious that I would highly recommend these patterns for all year use!
