Just in case you needed a dress to show off for Sundress season, heres a pattern to add to your collection!
This is the Alana dress from Made for Mermaids. This pattern has a ton of options which is why I think it would be a staple pattern for everyone. Here’s the nitty gritty:
The options:
Length
Crop, Top, Mini, Dress, Maxi
Necklines:
High Neckline, Low Neckline (V or no V for the neckline)
Back:
With one strap or two straps to tie together.
Low back (my favorite), High Back
Slit options
No slit, Low, Medium, & High slit
I made two of them for myself and baby girl. Keep in mind, the children sizes do not have as many options, and no slits! Both fabrics are double brushed polyester and from Surge. Both were hella cheap!

And here’s a couple of bundle photos!

I have other Alanas I want to make in some more solids. I’m thinking Black, Yellow and maybe Red? Annnd now that I am typing this I want one in African knit too! Ugh, the struggle. Fabric and patterns are always on my mind. This pattern is one that I plan to make many of!

Happy Sewing!
